Outside In World Children's Books in Translation

Outside In World Children's Books in Translation is a prestigious collection of international books that have been translated from their original language into English. It is part of the Near and Far World Books collection which is situated near the Library Café, on the ground floor, for easy access for all our visitors. We actively encourage the collections to be used to support research and teaching at the University of Portsmouth and in the wider academic world, and for community outreach work.

Accessing the collection

Items within the collection are included on the Library Catalogue and most items are available for loan. The shelfmark is preceded with "Outside in World." Items which are not available for loan can be consulted in the Library, on request. They are housed in a Glass Cupboard in the Book Nook.

If you are not a member of the University and would like to visit the collection, please see our Library Membership webpages.
