Photocopying maps

The CLA agreement does not permit staff or students to copy maps or charts. However, the University does have a licence to reproduce Ordnance Survey maps for educational, research or teaching purposes. Additionally, the British Geological Survey gives non-exclusive permission to reproduce free of charge any BGS map extracts and cross-sections from any BGS published academic papers, books, reports, guides or maps for personal, academic, educational, non-commercial research or other non-commercial uses and subject to appropriate acknowledgement. Map Library staff can provide advice about the appropriate acknowledgement required on copies of both OS and BGS mapping. For further details, please visit the Copyright and Licences information pages.
