The professional body for HR managers. Some content is restricted to members but there are useful factsheets giving overviews and suggestions for further reading and surveys on labour market and HR outsourcing trends.


The official UK body with the mandate to challenge discrimination on the grounds of age, disability, gender, race, religion and belief, pregnancy and maternity, marriage and civil partnership, sexual orientation and gender reassignment, and protect and promote human rights.


A tripartite agency from the EU that "provide knowledge to assist in the development of better social, employment and work-related policies".

Topics include education, health, housing, local government, international relations, business, industries etc. and all areas of the world are covered. Use options in Advanced Search if you want to search specific countries.

This is a practitioner and professional database so you will not find a lot of academic content, but there is a huge amount of information on policy and good practice as well as employment law and case studies.

Remember you need to login even on campus - choose the UK Federation (Shibboleth) option and University of Portsmouth.
