What:

  • Discovery is a Google like search tool that searches across a wide range of library resources including books, journals and databases.

Why:

  • As well as finding books in stock in the Library, Discovery allows you to perform a full text search of journal literature. The platform allows you to apply search limiters such as publication date and to specify type of source such as peer-reviewed journal articles. It is possible to create a personal account on the platform to save your articles and searches.

How:

  • The Discovery platform offers both a basic and advanced search option. This video explains how to use the Basic Search in Discovery The advanced search allows you to perform a more structured search combining keywords. Use the Discovery library webpage to find information on getting started with the platform.
