Recovering Proquest Ebook Central bookshelves

We upgraded our authentication system earlier in the summer: this is the service that tells the suppliers of our online resources that you are a member of the University of Portsmouth and grants you access to resources to which we have subscribed.
As a result of this upgrade, many people lost access to their digital bookshelf in Ebook Central, and any annotations and highlights they had added. Working with ProQuest, the provider of Ebook Central, and with our authentication provider, our technical team has been able to restore the personalised bookshelves that you set up before the upgrade. We are sorry that it has taken much longer than we had hoped and we thank you for your patience while we worked to resolve this problem.
A number of clients added books to bookshelves or notes to books on Ebook Central since the upgrade and before the fix, between 1 August and 19 September 2022. When the earlier bookshelves/notes were restored, these ceased to be visible. If you would like both your older and more recent bookshelves/notes restored so that they are all visible in Ebook Central, please click this link and follow the instructions on the Library Blog.
