Problems with downloading electronic interlibrary loans

You may experience difficulties downloading their electronic interlibrary loan from on campus.

there are two problems: firstly, Adobe Reader is not the default PDF software (it is Foxit Reader), and secondly, that the FileOpen plugin is not yet installed on all machines on campus as previously advised. IS are working on a solution and hope to fix it by the end of the week. In the meantime we suggest three options:

  1. If the article is not needed urgently, it might be worth waiting a few days for IS to fix the problem.
  2. Download FileOpen onto your home computer, but make sure you have a working printer attached before you do this.
  3. If the article is needed urgently, forward the email from the British Library to interlib@port.ac.uk. The ILL Team will print out the articles and send them to staff or leave them at the Issue Desk to be collected by students.
