Abstract
This study explore the field of online multiplayer games to try and determine if local multiplayer games are falling behind compared to online multiplayers games, and what are the main factors that caused this change, the research dose so by studying already existing research papers on the matter and by carrying a survey that produced 30 responses, that revealed that 74% percent of the participants think that local multiplayer games are falling off to the online competition and that 90% of the participants find that having both types of multiplayer in the same game is what they want in future games.
