UPDATE

The information given in the recent Bulletin about IBSS moving imminently to a new platform was incorrect. It will move, along with other Silver Platter databases, to the new Ovid platform in due course - probably over the summer.

Also, the item in the same section about Cinahl and Sport Discus also moving was missing the URL needed for those wishing to take a look at the new platform. Go to http://web.ebscohost.com

E-Book Survey

As part of their ongoing E-books Observatory project, JISC have issued a questionnaire for staff and students. This is a general survey asking about your use of library resources and e-books in particular. Those submitting responses can participate in a £200 prize draw. To complete the questionnaire, which takes 5-10 minutes, go to

Users of the International Bibliography of Social Sciences will from next week have to get used to a new platform. The new software from Ovid offers increased functionality but will naturally require a period of familiarisation. For assistance with the new platform contact your subject team in the Library.

Databases currently available via Silver Platter will also move to the new Ovid platform later in the year.

CINAHL and Sport Discus also due to move.

In March and May respectively, the above databases will be available exclusively via the Ebsco platform. To enable users to familiarise themselves with the new software before the existing service ceases, EBSCO have already loaded the databases, which may be visited by going to
